Kibale National Park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. The park is the home to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate-like monkeys, baboons including chimpanzees. It contains over 375 bird species, has over 1000 animal species, and has 700 frog species.
The Kibale Fort Portal area is one of Uganda’s most rewarding destinations to explore. The park lies close to the tranquil Ndali – Kasenda crater area and within a half day’s drive to the Queen Elizabeth National Parks and Toro Semiliki wildlife.

Day 1
After being transferred to Kibale National Park, the ranger guide will take you through the National Park where you will have a chance to see mammal species like baboons, monkeys, chimpanzees, and other types of species for example bird species, frog species, and butterfly species. In the afternoon after lunch and refreshments, you will have a community walk and there is a great chance to interact with the Batooro tribe and their culture plus enjoy their local food. Then come back in the evening at around 6 pm to the hotel for relaxation, supper, and bed.
Day 2
After early morning breakfast, you will start your day by tracking chimpanzees and studying their behaviors most especially how they mate, feed, sleep and interact. Therefore you will have enough time to take photographs and experience the beauty of these primates.
This activity will take you the whole day because you need to have enough time in order to learn much about chimpanzee habituation. Come back in the evening at around 5 pm, take a rest and have evening tea and then supper, then you can go to bed at around 10 pm.
Day 3
After taking your breakfast, the driver guide will transfer you back to Kampala – Entebbe.
